We are excited announce our partnership with Crown Bees to establish a colony of mason bees at our Bybee Lakes Hope Center Victory Garden! These native bees will provide another source of skill-building for training at the garden while also helping to pollinate our orchard trees and bring more life to the ByBee Lakes Hope Center.
We prepared our bee condos in February, 2026 (see photo gallery below), released some bees, and now the bees have created larvae which are ready for harvest! We'll be gathering the larvae in order to over-winter them in a safe space, away from parasites, predators, and weather.
Come spend time with us as we learn from Dave Hunter, Founder and Owner of Crown Bees, while he visits our garden.
