Our nearly three acre Victory Garden at the Bybee Lakes Hope Center brings life, growth and peace to the nearly 200 participants previously experiencing houselessness.
Designed as a therapeutic garden and place of peace, this amazing space provides fresh produce for center residents, horticulture learning opportunities, a native meadow with walking trail and much more. We’re looking for volunteers to help maintain and manage with community with potential activities including:
- Typical garden activities such as planting, weeding and watering
- Native Meadow pathway maintenance and improvements
- Garden bed(s) preparation for plantings
Our team is accepting donations of quality compost, bark mulch, park benches and other items. If you have available supplies, please register for the event and list items in comments.
Special thanks to Bybee Lakes Hope Center participants, Team Rubicon and the OSU Extension Service Master Gardeners for supporting the workday.
