2026 Community Events
The Victory Garden at Bybee Lakes Hope Center needs your help!
The 2026 planting season is now underway. We have plant starts growing for multiple vegetables, flowers, and perennials — which will end up as food for the Hope Center kitchen and bouquets for our CSA.
We have opportunities to volunteer in the garden to help us harvest seasonal produce, nurture current plantings, prepare our garden for future plants, spread wood chips over the soil and pathways, and much more. Each All skill levels and ability levels are welcome!
Be a part of this great work, contributing to the growth and future of this amazing garden which provides refuge, nourishment, and purpose for many.

Grow Together Day ~ Sunday, May 17
Time: 9am – 12:00pm
What: A busy spring will soon turn into an even busier summer! Come help us to organize and tidy up the garden, spread mulch to refresh pathways, and add plants around the garden! The Portland Fruit Tree Project will be teaching us how to monitor for pests in the orchard.

Harvest Days ~ August & October
- Summer Harvest Celebration ~ Saturday, August 15
- Fall Harvest Celebration ~ Saturday, October 17
Time: 10am – 1:00pm
What: August is peak harvest season at the BLVG and peak time to celebrate. Join us for a morning of harvesting, hands-on learning activities in the garden, good food, and even better company!
